By day, J.E. Teitsworth analyzes data, develops apps, and writes documentation for his job in the casino industry. By night, he crafts stories and essays about life in the Midwest—especially his home state of Iowa. His stories explore picturesque natural scenes, desperation, hope, addiction, family, crime and more in flyover country.

A proud Iowan, he can often be found kayaking and fishing in the lakes, ponds, and rivers near his home when he's not busy working or hanging out with his family. If he's confined indoors, he'll either be reading or coding computer games.
